With state support, Parárraiá kicks off with national and regional attractions
The largest São João in the Amazon continues this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with free performances

The Parárraiá, the largest São João in the Amazon, started this Thursday, 12, with national and regional attractions. The event, which has already become part of the national calendar of major June festivals, began with Os Caras do Arrocha, followed by Manu Bahtidão who energized the audience waiting for Gusttavo Lima, considered one of the big names in sertanejo. Eric Land and Carabao closed the night’s program.
The Parárraiá has the support of the

government of Pará. An initiative that promotes the culture and economy of Belém and the state. "It is a moment when we can celebrate the cultures of Brazil, São João. We need to value northeastern culture and the northeastern people who make up the state of Pará. We are valuing Pará's culture, the June quadrilhas, the music of Pará, and the music of Brazil. It is certainly a moment of gathering and celebration in yet another edition of the largest São João in the Amazon, the Parárraiá. Together, we will strengthen Brazil's economy, the economy and culture in our state, generating jobs, generating income, and generating fun for our population. May everyone be here today and may they also, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, come here with free entry, with safety and organization so that everyone can enjoy themselves democratically," informed Governor Helder Barbalho.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan reinforced the importance of the event to consolidate Pará as a destination for major events. "We are very happy to see this beautiful party here in our state. An orderly, organized party. A party that is for families. So, if you haven't been able to enjoy the Parárraiá yet, you can come, safely, to enjoy the party. There are local attractions, regional attractions, and national attractions. So that we can have this moment of joy, since we are living this moment of prosperity in the state of Pará," emphasized Hana.
With a thematic costume for COP 30, the traditional June quadrilha Sedução Ranchista, from the Jurunas neighborhood, features 24 pairs and is presenting at Parárraiá for the second time. The group's choreographer, Augusto Alves, spoke about the satisfaction of participating in Parárraiá for the second time. "We are very happy with the invitation that was made to our group and once again we are here to enhance this spectacle. Our theme this year is 'Strength of the Guardians of the Amazon', which is precisely a call to combat deforestation and help prevent damage to our Amazon, especially in the year of COP30," highlighted the quadrilheiro.
In addition to the audience who came to watch the attractions and the June quadrilhas, the street vendors also enjoyed the party in the best way: making money. This is the case of Alfredo Brasil, a resident of the Parque Verde neighborhood, who was counting the days and hours for the arrival of Parárraiá.
A seller of candies and mineral water for over ten years, he celebrates the start of the largest São João in the Amazon.

"Sales are starting. I come for all four days and it makes good money and helps to supplement my income. In four days I can make the income of a month. I stay here until it ends. This event is a blessing and I have a very good opportunity to make my sales," celebrated the self-employed worker.
Student Caroline Ribeiro came from the municipality of Ananindeua and was excited and looking forward to watching the shows of her favorite artists. "Today is a very special day for me. It is my first day at Parárraiá and I came very well accompanied, with my parents and my friends. It is always better to be gathered with family, right?" said Caroline.
