The Government of Pará, through the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), has elevated the decentralization of public health by delivering new equipment aimed at strengthening the medium and high complexity assistance network in 12 municipalities of the State. The ceremony for the delivery of the devices took place on the morning of this Friday (13) at the Government Palace in Belém, with the presence of Vice Governor Hana Ghassan. Also participating were the State Secretary of Health (Sespa), Ivete Vaz, the Deputy Secretary of Administrative Management, Edney Pereira, mayors, and municipal health secretaries.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan emphasized that the action is part of a structured plan coordinated with the municipalities. “This delivery reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará to a health system closer to the population. With planning and investment, we are ensuring more structure so that municipalities can offer faster diagnoses and higher quality care,” emphasized Hana Ghassan.

Each municipality received an ultrasound device, totaling an investment of R$ 2,055,600.00. With this delivery, the Government of Pará has already allocated 33 devices to 31 municipalities this year alone, totaling an investment of R$ 5,652,900.00.

The municipalities benefited were Redenção, Baião, São Domingos do Araguaia, Santa Cruz do Arari, Terra Santa, Curuá, Rio Maria, Senador José Porfírio, São João da Ponta, Prainha, São Felix do Xingu, and Faro.

More structure - The delivery of the equipment marks another advance in the actions of the Government of Pará focused on the qualified interiorization of state public health. The intention is to ensure that the rural population has access to a more adequate structure for diagnosis and care.

The State Secretary of Health, Ivete Vaz, highlighted the importance of the initiative for the efficiency of municipal services. “We know that the demand for quality care is always growing, and that is why we constantly work to expand and strengthen services,” said Ivete.

The head of Sespa also stated that with the new equipment, municipalities gain more autonomy. “The delivery represents a significant step to ensure that municipalities have better conditions to offer faster and more effective diagnoses. We are joining efforts with municipalities and the Federal Government to bring medium and high complexity services closer to the people.”

This action integrates the strategies of the Government of Pará for the interiorization of health, expanding access to exams, clinical monitoring, and quality care, promoting greater equity and care for the residents of these municipalities.
