The Civil Police of the States of Pará and Santa Catarina launched, during a joint operation, the second phase of operation "Intolerance", which culminated in the execution of a preventive arrest warrant against a suspect for the crimes of sports disturbance and aggravated robbery. The police action takes place in the week of the first RExPA of the Série B of the Brazilian Men's Football Championship, reinforcing the commitment of the Delegacy of Protection to the Fan and Major Events (DPTGE) to security during games and major events.

The suspect was located and arrested by police from the Capture Delegacy (DEIC/PCSC) in the city of Joinville (SC). He was part of the serious episode of violence involving members of a fan club who beat and stole belongings from a fan wearing the Fortaleza fan shirt.

"This arrest represents yet another clear demonstration that our teams spare no effort to hold accountable all those who use sporting events to commit crimes. The DPTGE is part of a national network of specialized delegacies that maintains constant dialogue with other police units responsible for executing arrest warrants throughout the national territory. Thus, even when these criminals try to evade the state of Pará, we remain vigilant and in integrated action to ensure that all are duly located, arrested, and held criminally accountable," emphasized delegate Marcos André Araújo, head of DPTGE/DIOE.

Shortly before the launch of the first phase of the operation, which took place on May 6 of this year, the suspect fled to the municipality of Várzea Paulista (SP) and later to the state of Santa Catarina, where he was located and arrested on Monday afternoon (16).

Recall the case - The crime occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2025, the eve of the first RExPA classic of the year. The victim was returning from work along Avenida Júlio César, in Belém, when he was approached by several men who were part of a fan club of Paysandu Sport Clube. For wearing a shirt of the Torcida Uniformizada do Fortaleza (TUF), the worker was brutally assaulted.

The worker was taken by surprise, knocked to the ground, violently beaten until he lost consciousness, and then dragged along the public road. During the criminal act, the suspects stole the shirt, a mobile phone, and the amount of R$ 300, as reported by the victim.

Three of the perpetrators were identified and had their preventive arrests made during the first phase of the operation, which took place in early May. The Civil Police teams managed to locate and return the stolen mobile phone to the victim, promoting an act of reparation and justice.

"Operation 'Intolerance' is part of the strategic efforts of PCPA in combating violence at sporting events, reaffirming the institution's commitment to public safety, the criminal accountability of aggressors, and the promotion of a peaceful environment in stadiums and their surroundings," concluded delegate Marcos André Araújo.
