Estação das Docas promotes six days of free cultural programming starting Friday
From June 20 to 22 and from June 27 to 29, over two consecutive weekends, the tourist complex will host a free program that celebrates the cultural traditions of Pará
The São João atmosphere is already taking over Estação das Docas in Belém with the arrival of the "Estação Junina" project 2025. From June 20 to 22 and from June 27 to 29, over two consecutive weekends, the tourist complex will host a free program that celebrates the cultural traditions of Pará. The São Pedro Nolasco Amphitheater will be transformed into a large arraial by the shores of Guajará Bay, featuring performances of quadrilhas, bois, junina birds, and musical shows.
Prepare your outfit and your joy and come participate; the program will always start at 5 PM on the stage set up especially for the event. Highlights include performances by the bois Catiguria and Veludinho, Pássaro Junino, Alessandro Sanfoneiro, as well as the bands Fruto Sensual, Baião de Dois, Vingadores do Brega, Cabras no Forró, among others.
The Estação Junina Project is an initiative of the Government of Pará, through the State Tourism Secretariat, and is organized by the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages the complex.
June 20 to 22 - The first weekend of programming kicks off with the excitement of typical São João attractions. On Friday, June 20, the traditional junina quadrilhas will open the program with lots of dance and joy: children's quadrilha Flor Junina, quadrilha Fuzuê Junino, followed by the Bands BaladaMix and Miro Marks Forró Nu12.
On Saturday, June 21, the Boi Catiguria will open the cultural program followed by the quadrilha Sedução Ranchista, and there will also be Forró do Bacana and DJ Assayag. On Sunday, June 22, it will be the turn of Boi Veludinho, the children's quadrilha Santa Luzia Mirin, quadrilha Amor de um mensageiro, and closing the first weekend, the irreverent band Fruto Sensual, which will get the audience dancing.
"For me, it is a great pleasure to participate in this big party, which is the Estação Junina project at Estação das Docas. The band is fully prepared to put on that special show for all of you. My heart is racing, right, because it is an honor to receive this invitation. And the certainty is that the show will be just like that. Call the family and come," comments Miro Marks.
"Hello everyone, this is Valeria Paiva from the band Fruto Sensual, and on June 22, Sunday, starting at 8 PM, we will be at the São Pedro Nolasco amphitheater at Estação das Docas, in a free program for all ages. See you there! Accept my love, okay my dear?" invites Valéria Paiva, vocalist of the band Fruto Sensual.
June 27 to 29 - On Friday, June 27, the program resumes with the children's quadrilha Pipoquinha, and the quadrilha Santa Luzia, followed by shows from Alessandro Sanfoneiro and the band Vingadores do Brega. On Saturday, June 28, the audience will be able to enjoy performances from Boi Rei do Campo, followed by the band Baião de Dois and concluding with Dudu Forrozeiro. Sunday, June 29, the last day of Estação Junina will feature performances from the Pássaro Junino Japiim, the quadrilha Majestosa, the Trio Trilhas da Serra, and the band Cabra no Forró.
"Estação Junina is one of the most anticipated moments of our cultural calendar. It is when we unite tradition, art, and leisure in one of the city's most beloved spaces. This year, the project is bigger, with an even more diverse program, aiming to value our artists and offer the public authentic experiences of Pará's culture," says Ruan Rocha, president of OS Pará 2000.
"Whenever I come to Estação das Docas, I am surprised by the attractions. Now with Estação Junina, I want to bring my children to see the quadrilhas and enjoy the party. It is a beautiful way to live our culture with safety and fun," comments Rayanne Santos, 22, a visitor from the Tapanã neighborhood, who has attended previous editions of the event.
