Public hearing brings together cultural makers for debate on the application plan of the PNAB in Pará
Meeting promoted by Secult gathered cultural agents this Tuesday (17)

The State Secretariat of Culture (Secult) held a decisive public hearing on Tuesday (17) at the Museum of the State of Pará (MEP) to discuss the multiannual plan for the application of resources from the National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB) in the state, covering the period from 2025 to 2028. The meeting included the participation of representatives from the cultural sector both in person in Belém and online, reaching cultural makers from various regions of Pará.
The plan discussed foresees the allocation of R$ 215 million in cultural policies until 2028, coming from four annual transfers, which will be directed to different segments and axes of Pará's culture.
The contributions presented during the hearing will be incorporated into the final version of the document, which will be published in the State Official Gazette in August. With the extension of the deadline for including the plans on the federal government's platform until August 31, new public hearings will still be held, expanding the dialogue with society.
In the first phase of the PNAB implementation in Pará, 6,699 projects were registered, demonstrating strong engagement from the cultural sector. Now, the challenge is to improve planning for the next four years.
The Secretary of Culture of Pará, Ursula Vidal, emphasized the State Government's commitment to the democratic and participatory construction of cultural policies.
"Our goal is to ensure that resources reach all territories and cultural segments, recognizing the protagonism of the workers in the culture of Pará," she stated.

For Denilce Rabelo, vice-president of the State Council of Culture (CEC-PA), the hearing represents a milestone in Pará's cultural management.
"It is a return to civil society, strengthening the role of the Council and ensuring the active participation of cultural makers," she highlighted.
The holding of the hearing fulfills the requirements of Ordinance No. 200/2025 from the Ministry of Culture, which mandates mandatory popular participation in the preparation of PNAB plans.
