June birds and animal groups return to Margarida Schivasappa this weekend

The program of the Arraial of All Saints at Centur also includes performances of quadrilhas and June festivities. Admission is free.

The animal groups of Birds and Beasts will present their stories this weekend on the stage of the Margarida Schivasappa theater

The June birds Uirapuru da Liberdade and Beija Flor will perform this Friday, 20, starting at 6:30 PM, on the stage of the Margarida Schivasappa theater in Belém. On Saturday, the birds Colibri de Outeiro and Pequeno Guará will perform. On Sunday, 22, it will be the turn of the birds Pavão and Rouxinol. On Saturdays and Sundays, the program starts at 7 PM. Admission is free.

The performances of June birds and animal groups are part of the program of the Arraial of All Saints, which also features musical shows and the XXI edition of the State Quadrilhas Contest. The festival takes place in the Centur building, headquarters of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP).

The tradition of the boi bumbá is also present and full of vitality to excite the audience at the Arraial of All Saints

On the Verequete stage, set up in the Artist's Square, the boi-bumbá “Boi Flor do Guamá”; the parafolkloric groups “Mapinguari” and “Paranativo” and the carimbó group “Tamborimbó” will perform this Friday.

Contest - This Friday, ten June quadrilhas will perform for the jury and the audience. Two of them are composed of children. The children's quadrilhas “Os Matutinhos da Macacheira”, from Soure, and “Explosão de Cheiro”, from Belém, will start the competition at 6 PM.

The adult quadrilhas dancing today are: “Explosão Junina Tradicional”, from Abaetetuba; “Revolução Junina”, from Barcarena; “Amor Junino”, from Cachoeira do Arari; “Amor de Um Mensageiro”, from Belém; “Paixão de São João”, from Ananindeua; “Mandacaru”, from Ananindeua; “Azabumba”, from Ananindeua and “Cristal Junino”, from Belém.

Until the end of the performances, on June 27, 132 quadrilhas will perform in the people's square, at the headquarters of the Cultural Foundation of Pará. The festival ends on June 29, with the awarding of the champions.
