In Salinópolis, flags regulate traffic at Atalaia Beach
The flags are placed along the beach, delineating vehicle traffic. Mobilizing over a thousand agents, the operation continues until Monday (23), in 33 locations in Pará.
With concentrated efforts on ostensive actions, inspection, and prevention during the Corpus Christi Operation, the State Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) maintains the marking and organization of traffic on the sand of Atalaia Beach, in Salinópolis, northeastern Pará. The action extends over more than 2.5 kilometers to ensure the safety of pedestrians on the beach and the orderly flow of vehicles.

The marking begins around 6 a.m., when Segup teams distribute flags along the beach to delineate vehicle traffic from the main access ramp to Sofia's shortcut. The organization is also carried out according to the tide table, ensuring the effectiveness of the security agents' work in responding to incidents when necessary, and also preventing accidents during the movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the sand.
Organization - "Among several actions being carried out since last Thursday (19), during the Corpus Christi Operation, the organization of traffic flow at Atalaia Beach is one of them. A very important action, considering that during weekends and extended holidays, Atalaia Beach is one of the most sought-after locations. With this action, we manage to have an organization and control of flow, especially of vehicles. The teams install the flags, monitor the tide movement, and thus adjust so that the flow of vehicles follows the guidance and signaling. For us, from Public Security, it also allows for an orderly route for responding to calls in case of incidents, facilitating the work of the police or firefighters who are acting in the actions," informed the acting State Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Colonel PM Sérgio Neves.
In addition to ensuring order and mobility on the beach, the flags provide the main public security contacts, such as 181 for the Disque-Denuncia and 190 for CIOp (Integrated Operations Center) for activation in emergency situations. People in need have easy and quick access to the contacts to activate the security system.

Inspection - The actions aimed at ensuring traffic safety extend to the PA-124 Highway, which provides access to Salinópolis. Upon entering the municipality, vehicles are inspected by agents from the State Department of Transit (Detran) and the Highway Police Battalion (BPRV) of the Military Police. The objective is to suppress actions that violate the laws, also curbing the crime of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Corpus Christi Operation 2025 continues until next Monday (23), in 33 locations, mobilizing over a thousand agents. The work is supported by the Civil, Military, and Scientific Police, Military Fire Brigade, Detran, Air Security Group (Graesp), Municipal Guard of Belém, and municipal security agencies.
