Hospital Abelardo Santos concludes June programming with a focus on solidarity
Event strengthens humanization actions with the collection of toys for hospitalized children and the community in general, in Icoaraci

The Dr. Abelardo Santos Regional Hospital (HRAS), in Belém, held the 4th edition of the Miss Caipira 2025 contest last week, marking the conclusion of the unit's June programming. The event, in addition to valuing popular culture and promoting a moment of integration among professionals, focuses on collecting toys for hospitalized children and neighboring communities.
In 2024, the campaign collected about 2,000 items, including dolls, balls, and games, which have already been delivered thanks to the mobilization of the Human Resources department and the HRAS Humanization Committee. In 2025, the action was also considered a success, according to HR coordinator Radharani Andrade. "For us, it is a great satisfaction, as we are able to reach the children," she stated.

The fun took place as follows: in addition to the presentations and typical costumes, evaluated based on criteria such as creativity, friendliness, and June characterization, the candidate who managed to gather the largest volume of toys won. This year, eight employees competed for the title, representing various sectors of HRAS, who actively engaged in the mission.
"The result goes beyond the choice of Miss HRAS 2025. It represents the strengthening of teamwork and the culture of empathy among the hospital professionals. With this, we have more tools to promote humanization inside and outside our hospital structure. This is our commitment to patients and to society in general," Radharani added.

Actions
The Abelardo Santos Hospital is a reference in pediatric care, offering specialized care both in the Pediatric Emergency Room and in the inpatient ward. The humanization actions are designed to reinforce the purpose of caring for the overall health of patients, encompassing not only the physical aspect but also the emotional one, highlights the general director of HRAS, Ednise Amaral.
She also emphasizes that, in addition to internal activities, society also benefits from donations, especially through schools, which receive HRAS teams in health-focused campaigns or on commemorative dates, such as Children's Day, among other solidarity programs.

The manager emphasizes the role of professionals as key players in the success of these initiatives. "It is essential that everyone feels part of this solidarity movement. When each one understands that their work can go beyond the technical function and reach others with sensitivity, the positive impact expands, both inside and outside the hospital environment, generating significant transformations for all," she concluded.
