The June pre-university class of the Alternative Course will be held at Uepa's campus I, in the Telégrafo neighborhood, in Belém

The Alternative Course, an extension project of the State University of Pará (Uepa) that offers preparatory classes for the National High School Exam (Enem), will hold its first June pre-university class next Saturday, the 28th, with spots open to the general public. The event will take place at the Paulo Freire Auditorium, in the Center for Social Sciences and Education (CCSE), at Travessa Djalma Dutra, s/n, in the Telégrafo neighborhood, in Belém, starting at 8 am. Registrations can be made online through the link available here. All information can be followed on the profile @cursinhoalternativouepa.

According to Nágila Aood, general director of the Alternative Course, "the 1st interdisciplinary pre-university class for the students of the Alternative Course will cover all subjects related to the Enem, being our conclusion of the first semester." Nágila also explains that 80 spots were opened for external students, "as a way to help the community prepare for the Enem."

Created in 2007 by Professor Altem Nascimento Pontes, the Alternative Course is aimed at students who are completing or have already completed high school, exclusively from public schools or full scholarship students from private institutions, selected through a selection process.

The classes are taught by Uepa students, mainly from Licentiate, Pedagogy, and Trilingual Secretarial courses, who, by acting as teachers, experience teacher training and classroom management. The project fulfills a dual mission: to contribute to the access of public school students to higher education and to strengthen the practical training of future educators.
