Polyclinic Carajás has 26 specialties and registers 4 thousand consultations in two months
Unit maintains routine combining technical quality, humanity, and care
The Polyclinic Carajás Miguel Chamon, in Marabá, in the southeastern region of Pará, surpassed the mark of 4 thousand specialized medical consultations this week since it began operating last April. The significant volume of services reinforces the importance of the unit, which offers services in 26 specialties, combining technical quality, humanization, and care.
Lourdes Ferreira, 74 years old, a resident of Piçarra, in the Carajás region, highlighted the attention and care she received at the institution. “Here I was treated with respect and patience, as if I were part of the family. This makes all the difference when you need special care. I leave confident that I am being truly followed,” she stated.
Among the most sought-after medical specialties since the unit's implementation are orthopedics, cardiology, ophthalmology, gynecology, and otorhinolaryngology. The high demand reinforces the importance of decentralizing specialized health, ensuring that the population has access to quality services close to home.
Cleonice Costa, 60 years old, a resident of São Domingos do Araguaia, celebrated the possibility of having a consultation with a rheumatologist close to home. For her, the Polyclinic represents progress, providing quality care without the need for long trips. “Having a place like this so close to us is a blessing; I feel respected and cared for, without having to leave our region to seek care,” highlighted the user.
The Polyclinic is part of the Pará Government's strategy to regionalize health, expanding access to specialized care. With modern structure and humanization, the unit leads to faster diagnoses, effective treatments, and comfort for users.
