In Marabá, State ensures access to visual health with delivery of prescription glasses
More than 1,400 residents benefited from the action at the Usina da Paz in the municipality. Deliveries correspond to the ophthalmological care provided during the edition of the program 'Por Todas Elas'

More than 1,400 residents of Marabá, in southeastern Pará, benefited from the free delivery of prescription glasses, held this Wednesday (25), at the Usina da Paz in the municipality, located on Rua Sororó, Jardim União neighborhood.
The deliveries correspond to the ophthalmological care provided during the edition of the program 'Por Todas Elas', which took place at the Usina da Paz in Marabá on April 4. On that occasion, residents underwent screenings and consultations, being referred for the making of the glasses, now distributed free of charge.
The delivery was celebrated by the beneficiaries. Housewife Geni Pereira, 58, said she can now resume her reading. "I could no longer read or see the television properly. These glasses will change my routine and give me more autonomy," she said.

Another resident served was housewife Denise Souza, 37. She highlighted the direct impact of the initiative on her life and stated that 'Por Todas Elas' was welcomed by the entire community. "Many people cannot afford to buy new glasses because it is an expensive product, and being able to see the community ensuring this action for free is very gratifying. Without the glasses, it was very difficult. Today, I leave here seeing and very grateful," she said.
Por Todas Elas - Created in 2024, the program is an initiative of the Government of Pará to encourage female leadership in various fields, including politics, focusing on building rights for women. The initiative provides free services such as medical care, document issuance, legal guidance, educational activities, and self-care and self-esteem actions for various regions of the State.
The Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth de Fátima Braga, emphasized the importance of the program as an inclusion policy. "'Por Todas Elas' focuses on caring for women, but it reaches the entire family and the whole community. The delivery of glasses is a concrete way to bring dignity and citizenship to those who need it most. It is a service that transforms realities and promotes health with quality," she explained.

Service: People who could not participate in the delivery this Wednesday (25) can go to UsiPaz in Marabá - located on Rua Sororó, Jardim União neighborhood - to pick up the glasses, upon presentation of an official photo identification document.
