Donations collected over the weekend by Hemopa will benefit up to 3,464 patients in the State

Campaigns and collections at fixed units resulted in 866 blood bags on June 28 and 29

The Hemopa Foundation collected 866 blood bags last weekend (June 28 and 29) in actions carried out at the fixed units of the state blood network and in external campaigns. The total can serve up to 3,464 patients hospitalized in public hospitals in Pará.

In Belém, the Coordinating Hemocenter gathered 139 bags. At the collection points installed in the Castanheira and Metrópole shopping malls, 53 and 41 bags were recorded, respectively. In the interior, the hemocenters of Castanhal, Santarém, and Marabá reached 27, 12, and 90 collections.

The external campaigns also had significant results. In Pacajá, the Tucuruí hemonucleus raised 103 bags. The one in Redenção totaled 67 bags in the city of Rio Maria, while the one in Capanema achieved 202 collections in Bragança. The Hemocenter of Castanhal coordinated a campaign at the Central Adventist Church of the municipality, which collected 81 bags. In Marituba, the Coordinating Hemocenter conducted the action at Camp Marituba, with 51 bags collected.

The mobilization is part of the activities of June Red, a national campaign that encourages voluntary blood donation, essential to maintain stocks and save lives.

Who can donate?

Healthy individuals aged between 16 and 69 years and weighing over 50 kg can donate blood. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
