In Salinópolis, security agencies ensure tranquility and promote awareness against environmental crimes on the beaches
Beachgoers were informed about the prohibition of the sale and use of glass bottles, cutting lines (with cerol or chilenas), and also about the entry and use of automotive sound systems on the beaches

The forces of the State Public Security System continue with awareness and inspection actions to combat environmental crimes such as noise pollution and the sale and use of glass bottles, as well as the use of cutting lines (with cerol or chilenas) in Salinópolis. The actions carried out this Saturday (05) are coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) as part of the Summer Operation 2025.
With integrated patrolling by security forces along the entire stretch of the sandy beaches of Atalaia and Farol Velho, beachgoers were informed about the prohibition of the sale and use of glass bottles, cutting lines (with cerol or chilenas), and also about the entry and use of automotive sound systems on the beaches.
"The main objective of the awareness and inspection actions on the beaches during the summer operation is to ensure beachgoers a peaceful, orderly, and safe leisure time for everyone. In addition to inspections related to the use of glass bottles on the beaches and the use of cutting lines, according to legislation, we are also maintaining inspections regarding the new court decision that allows access to automotive sounds, trailers, and sound towers on the beaches during a limited time, from 6 PM to 6 AM," said Ualame Machado, Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense.

Following the planned actions, the integrated agencies continue to guide and inspect according to the court decision regarding the partial permission of trailers and automotive sounds on the beaches, from 6 PM to 6 AM, under control and inspection to prevent environmental abuses.
According to the agreement between representatives of the Automotive Sound Association and the State Public Security System, the sound equipment must all be in a designated area to the left of the Sofia Shortcut, and also facing the sea, in order to avoid sound impacts on the urban area and also on other beachgoers.
Other Inspections
The coordinator of the Integrated Control and Command Center of Salinas, Col. Celton Moraes, highlights the importance of patrolling, which is being carried out in an integrated and continuous manner from Friday to Sunday. "The ostensive patrolling along the beaches, the new boardwalk, and the torch has been fundamental to ensure order, safety, and also awareness and inspection regarding all crimes, specifically environmental ones. We continue with the integrated agencies in these actions to comply with court decisions and legislation," he concluded.
Cutting Lines
The agents reinforced the prevention of the use and sale of cutting lines, in order to comply with the provisions of State Law No. 9,597, which prohibits the use, manufacture, and sale of cutting lines, with cerol and chilena.

The chilena line, coated with ground glass and glue, can cause serious accidents, including the death of people hit in vital points, especially motorcyclists and pedestrians.
Glass Bottles - Another area of guidance and inspection is regarding State Law No. 10,381, which prohibits the sale, consumption, presence, circulation, or availability of non-returnable glass packaging, specifically those known as "long necks," on the sandy beaches and bathing areas.
Present at the CICC Base in Salinas during the alignment for the morning patrol, the prosecutor of Salinas, Dr. Maria Claudia Vitorino, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Public Ministry of Pará and the Security System, establishing actions to combat environmental crimes. "The prosecutor's office has an action plan focused on cleaning the beach and combating the irregular disposal of waste, so we are working hand in hand with the public security system to raise awareness among the population that the irregular disposal of waste is an environmental crime, which generates environmental consequences and also for the human being, who can even cut themselves on a glass bottle on the beach. So we are together in this mission, taking on a good fight that will be beneficial for everyone with a clean beach," detailed the Prosecutor.

"This security action is fundamental for all of us who come to enjoy the sun and the beach here in Salinas. It demonstrates the State's presence in the lives of the population and especially on the beach during leisure time. So the issue of security is essential; we have already seen here the presence of the Detran, the presence of the police to ensure that everyone has healthy leisure. Their presence is fundamental, so the population can also do their part, support, comply with the rules, avoid the use of glass bottles, the disposal of waste on the sand, and also respect traffic laws, because traffic laws are also applied on the beach, so respecting the speed limit, I think all of this is very important, so we have a peaceful, healthy, and joyful vacation," said lawyer Cícero Menezes.
Integration
More than 270 security and inspection agents reinforce the actions of the Summer Operation 2025 in Salinas, northeastern Pará. The actions will continue in an integrated manner until August 4.
