The Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR) concluded, this Friday (11), the program "Colorful Holidays: Art and Fun," promoted by the Art and Culture sector. Held throughout the week at CIIR and the Specialized Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (Cetea), the vacation colony provided moments of leisure, social interaction, and stimulation for the development of children assisted by the health units of the Government of Pará.

Children enjoyed the programming offered by CIIR

The initiative included workshops and activities aimed at users and their companions, such as storytelling, painting, dance, music, cinema with popcorn, and inclusive games, all designed to promote welcome and well-being in the therapeutic context.

Ana Gonçalves, mother of Lucas, 11 years old, a user with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), highlighted the positive effects of the action. "On the trip from Abaetetuba to the appointment, my son was discouraged. But, when he participated in the tap dance workshop, he became excited, interacted with other children, and had a lot of fun," she said, adding that "we, who accompany our children in therapies, need these moments. It was a light and welcoming break."

Outdoor games provide well-being to users

Connections - For the supervisor of the Art and Culture sector at CIIR, Denise Morais, the vacation colony plays an important role in rehabilitation. "The program was planned to stimulate skills, strengthen emotional bonds, and provide learning and fun experiences outside the therapeutic environment," she informed.

Held for four years, the vacation colony started last Monday (7), at Cetea, a unit that is part of the rehabilitation complex maintained by the state government. The action reaffirms CIIR's commitment to a person-centered approach, recognizing play as an essential tool in health care and the promotion of social inclusion.

CIIR is a state reference in medium and high complexity assistance to persons with visual, physical, auditory, and intellectual disabilities. The service is provided through referrals from municipal health units, via the State Regulation System (SER), and each case is evaluated according to the user's profile.

Service: CIIR and Cetea are agencies of the Government of Pará, managed by the National Institute of Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa). Cetea is located at Rua Presidente Pernambuco, nº 489, Batista Campos neighborhood, in Belém. CIIR is located at Rodovia Arthur Bernardes, nº 1000, also in the capital of Pará.
