Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa) seizes hydraulic systems and fuel alcohol

State tax inspectors from the Secretary of State of Finance of Pará (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, seized four Roll-On Roll-Off equipment, which are hydraulic systems used to load and unload various types of cargo. The seizure took place this Wednesday (16), and the equipment, valued at R$ 443,183.92, left São Paulo/SP destined for Marituba/PA.

“The operation was supported by a return demonstration invoice, issued with only a 17-hour difference from the shipping invoice, a timeframe manifestly incompatible with the journey of about 2,800 km between the states of São Paulo and Pará. Furthermore, the delivery location indicated on the shipping invoice – a commercial room on the 6th floor of a building – is incompatible with the type of cargo. And there was no proof of the effective departure of the goods from Pará. Given this inaccurate information, the presented fiscal document was considered invalid and disregarded, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 74,454.90, referring to the tax and the fine for the infraction,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Rafael Brasil.

Ethanol – Also, on Wednesday (16), 7,000 liters of hydrated ethyl alcohol, fuel coming from Porto Nacional (TO) destined for the municipality of Redenção, in southeastern Pará, were seized. The goods, valued at R$ 25,000, were seized at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Araguaia, at Km 15 of the PA-447 highway, in Conceição do Araguaia.

“The driver of the tank truck presented an invoice, and it was verified that the goods should come with the advance collection of the due tax, which did not occur. Thus, the inspection drew up a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) for the collection of the due tax plus a fine, totaling R$ 5,502.78, which was paid and the goods released.
