Delivery of the last batch completes the fleet of the Metropolitan BRT with 265 buses
The integrated transport system will benefit 3.5 million passengers per month with modern and less polluting vehicles

The Regulatory and Control Agency for Public Services of the State of Pará (Arcon) received the last batch of buses from the Integrated Transport System of the Metropolitan Region (SIT/RMB), completing the fleet of 265 vehicles of the Metropolitan BRT. The new batch consists of 16 standard buses, model Millennium V, with a capacity for 93 passengers and pollutant emissions 15 times lower than conventional diesel buses.
With this delivery, the total fleet consists of 92 standard buses, 40 electric buses, and 133 conventional buses.
"We are receiving 16 standard vehicles, which join and complete the 92 of the same model, in addition to the others that make up this modern fleet. It is an important step in the largest mobility project in the State of Pará," said Arcon's General Director, Eduardo Ribeiro.
Investment and integrated infrastructure
The vehicles were acquired through an investment of R$ 386 million from the State Government, of which R$ 367 million were financed by Caixa Econômica Federal, through the Pró-Transporte FGTS Program of the Ministry of Cities. The acquisition involved three manufacturers, with staggered deliveries since December.

All buses are air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, onboard cameras, and cutting-edge technology. The conventional vehicles will serve the feeder lines that will circulate between the neighborhoods of Marituba, Ananindeua, Santa Izabel, Santa Bárbara, and Benevides to the integration terminals. At these points, passengers will be transferred to the electric and standard vehicles, which will make the journey along the trunk corridor to the center of Belém or the Federal University of Pará, in express and semi-express services.
The estimate is that the system will benefit about 3.5 million passengers per month. The management and regulation of the service are the responsibilities of Arcon, according to Law 11.061, sanctioned by Governor Helder Barbalho on July 2, 2025.
Complementary infrastructure
The Metropolitan BRT project also includes the implementation of two integration terminals (Marituba and Ananindeua), 13 sets of passenger stations, 13 walkways, four access tunnels, in addition to the Operational Control Center (CCO), located on Augusto Montenegro Avenue. Drainage works, paving, bike lanes, tree-lined sidewalks, landscaping, and new lighting along the BRT corridor are also planned.
