In Tucuruí, Usina da Paz attracts hundreds of residents seeking free services
On its first day of operation, the citizenship complex delivered by the Government of Pará is already meeting the expectations of the population
The Usina da Paz in Tucuruí, in southeastern Pará, began public services on Thursday (24), a day after being delivered by the Government of Pará. With the offer of dozens of free services, the first day was marked by a large turnout from the community, which took the opportunity to access health, social assistance, and citizenship services.
Services offered included document issuance (ID); medical, dental, and psychological care; guidance from Procon Pará and actions from the ParáPaz Foundation. The modern and accessible structure of the complex attracted hundreds of residents from various neighborhoods.
The self-employed Jailson da Silva, 48, was one of the first to arrive. "I really needed to get a new ID, but I couldn't schedule an appointment. Today, I was attended to quickly and efficiently. Everything is working well," said Jailson.
Resident Kátia do Socorro, 41, brought her children for dental care. "It was the first time we managed to get an appointment for all of us together, without having to leave the neighborhood. The children were seen, received toothbrushes, and so did I. It's a relief for us. The Usina is a dream come true," she stated.
Guarantee of rights - The State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, highlighted the social impact of the citizenship and security complex. "The Usina da Paz is more than a physical space. It is a center of transformation that brings the State closer to the people and guarantees fundamental rights to those who need it most," emphasized Elieth Braga.
The Usina da Paz is considered the largest citizenship complex in Latin America, bringing together various public services in one location. In Tucuruí, the expectation is that UsiPaz will consolidate as a reference for access to basic rights, especially benefiting more vulnerable populations.
