Cultural Foundation opens registrations for free 3D modeling and printing workshop
Interested parties must register online, with a link available as long as there are spots. Classes will start on July 28.
The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) has opened registrations for a free 3D Modeling and Printing workshop, which will take place from July 28 to August 8, Monday to Friday, from 2 PM to 6 PM, at the Arthur Vianna Public Library (BPAV), located at the FCP headquarters in Belém. There are 24 spots available, with five for a waiting list. The activity totals 40 hours of workload and will provide a certificate of participation for students with at least 75% attendance.
“The workshop is important because it stimulates the creativity of the participants and, in addition to developing technical skills, it prepares them to work in areas such as design, engineering, architecture, and others related to innovation and technology. It is an excellent gateway to the world of digital creation,” highlights Ednaldo França, the workshop instructor.

Content - Aimed at beginners and technology enthusiasts, the workshop offers a complete overview of 3D production, covering various topics, including Introduction to 3D printing (history, concepts, uses, and types of printers); types of filaments, hygiene and safety in using the equipment, and three-dimensional modeling with Autodesk Tinkercad software. According to the organizers, the choice of Tinkercad is due to its accessible interface, ideal for those starting in the field.
Participants will also have an understanding of the Ultimaker Cura program for slicing and defining printing parameters, as well as practical operation of a 3D printer and printing the projects developed during the activities.
The goal of the course is for graduates to be able to develop their own 3D projects, mastering the basic tools and understanding the processes involved in modeling and printing.
