Energy solutions company seeks opportunities in Pará focusing on natural gas and sustainability
International consultancy presents proposals to expand the supply of clean energy to the productive sector in Pará
The Pará Economic Development Company (Codec), represented by Lorena Aguiar and Eduardo Rodrigues from the Investment and Business Attraction Directorate (Dain), received, on this Friday (25), energy analyst Andree Ribera Torrez from Gas Energy Latin America. The meeting aimed to present the energy demand scenario of the State and identify opportunities for clean energy generation from natural gas.

During the meeting, Gas Energy expressed interest in understanding the priority productive sectors and the regions with the greatest potential for economic growth in Pará, in order to offer technical and strategic solutions to companies already established or in the process of being implemented in the State.
The company highlighted its work in the Mini LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) segment, a technology that combines efficiency, reliability, and lower environmental impact. Mini LNG is seen as a viable alternative to supply regions far from major energy distribution centers, promoting access to cleaner and safer energy sources.
“Gas Energy approached us to better understand the priority industrial sectors and the energy dynamics of the State. This qualified listening is essential to attract companies with solutions that contribute to the sustainable expansion of our industrial park,” emphasized Lorena Aguiar, advisor to Dain.
“We presented the main incentivized hubs in Pará and reinforced that Codec is prepared to support investors at all stages of the process, coordinating with partner agencies and promoting a safe and efficient business environment,” she added.
The visit reinforces Pará's role in the energy transition agenda by encouraging solutions with a lower carbon footprint and aligned with global decarbonization guidelines. According to Gas Energy, the goal is to enhance the competitiveness of the productive sector through cost reduction, increased energy security, and strengthened sustainability.
Codec made itself available to facilitate dialogue with strategic actors and share information about the industrial matrix and the incentivized hubs of the State, promoting closer ties with initiatives aimed at the sustainable economic development of Pará.
