In Mosqueiro, integrated agents act against noise pollution

The integrated public safety teams carried out an integrated operation on the night of last Saturday (26) on Mosqueiro Island to combat noise pollution on public roads, in commercial establishments, and also in residences, in order to ensure peace and public order for all. During the action, an irregular sound system was seized.

The actions are part of the strategies developed through Operation Summer 2025, coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Srgup) along with other agencies of the State and municipal Security System.

“All actions developed through Operation Summer aim for public order and the tranquility of everyone. The fight against noise pollution is among the various activities that the teams carry out throughout this month of July so that the locals and other tourists can enjoy the beaches and resorts of Mosqueiro with the guarantee of peace and tranquility,” said the head of Segup.

Visibility - During the night action in the Mosqueiro District, the integrated teams acted to curb noise pollution caused by automotive sound on public roads, commercial establishments, and residences, ensuring public peace and community safety.

The agents conducted inspections of vehicles with automotive sound at volumes above the permitted level. At Murubira beach, one device was seized after the owner disobeyed the recommendations of the public agents. The man was taken to the police station for the necessary procedures.

The teams also provided guidance to the owners of establishments about the legal limits of sound emission. One commercial establishment was closed for non-compliance with the established limits.

“The action was carried out in an integrated manner among the security agencies, resulting in a reduction of noise pollution occurrences in the region during the night. The preventive and repressive action contributed to the reestablishment of public order and the preservation of the tranquility of the residents and visitors of Mosqueiro Island,” pointed out Colonel Alexandre, commander of the 25th Military Police Battalion of the Mosqueiro District.
