Sefa seizes air conditioning units and 889 cell phone displays
Seizures occurred in the municipalities of Cachoeira do Piriá and Dom Eliseu
State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of the Coordination of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border with Maranhão, seized a load of air conditioning units, beds, and headboards, valued at R$ 377,482.00. The seizure occurred on Thursday (7).
The load was in a box truck that left Ananindeua (PA), heading to the city of Agrestina (PE). "After the start of the inspection and delivery of the tax documents, the officials, upon registering the invoice in the system, noticed that it had already been used on 07/29 of this year, meaning the invoice was being used for the second time. This is an attempt to evade tax known as 'traveling invoice'," explained coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The invoice was disregarded and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 81,536.22, referring to the tax and fine.
Cell phone display – At the Sefa Coordination located in Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, 889 units of cell phone displays, valued at R$ 84,482.00, were also seized on Thursday (7), coming from São Paulo (SP) to Cametá (PA).
“During a physical inspection of a regular line bus, four boxes of styrofoam containing the goods were found, transported without the tax documents. Given the infraction, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 28,892.84, referring to the ICMS and fine,” informed coordinator Rafael Brasil.
