On the afternoon of this Saturday, the 16th, the Multivozes Arena of the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivozes was filled with emotion and depth during the chat between the writer Wanda Monteiro, honored in this edition, and Tânia Sarmento, which featured the artistic intervention "Aquatempo" by the writer Juraci Siqueira.

The audience present followed a light chat where writer Wanda Monteiro shared the entire writing process with fellow writer Tânia Sarmento, who is knowledgeable about all aspects of the honored writer's literature. Writer Juraci Siqueira also participated in the moment by performing a scenic reading of "Aquatempo", a poetic-philosophical dialogue about memory, time, and aging of a couple of riverside dwellers living on a river island.

According to writer Wanda Monteiro, participating in the Fair as an honoree is an indescribable moment. "It is a plural feeling; we conjugate several verbs. I am enchanted, motivated, and grateful. Other feelings arise that leave me reflective about my journey. One of them is this feeling of duty fulfilled. The writer feels on a very lonely walk, and when this happens, it sounds like a response from the audience and, above all, a response from the institutions that create public cultural policies in our State," she stated.

Wanda Monteiro, born in 1958 in the municipality of Alenquer, in Western Pará, is the daughter of the renowned writer Benedicto Monteiro. She inherited from her father not only the talent for literature but also the commitment to the memory and struggles of the people of Pará. A lawyer, writer, and researcher of her father's work, Wanda has built a solid trajectory marked by the production of short stories, essays, poems, and novels. In her writing, the Amazon is not just a backdrop; it is a protagonist. With texts published in important national literary magazines, she stands out as one of the voices of resistance in contemporary Amazonian literature.

Writer Tânia Sarmento did not hide her happiness in participating in a moment of affirmation of Amazonian culture. "There is no way to measure the importance of participating in this moment. This chat has a gigantic impact throughout its history; its impact on the reading audience, especially, is something we cannot deny. I am very happy to have participated in this space of speech, especially since it is an identity space for all of us, mine and the two writers'," she revealed.

University professor Michel Guimarães followed the chat with emotion and happiness for being in the presence of great names in Pará literature. "It was much more than a literary conversation; it was a deep dive into languages that dialogue with time, territory, and memory. Each word exchanged here brought to light layers of feminine, Amazonian, and Brazilian writing, with the strength of those who understand literature as resistance, but also as delicacy," he emphasized.

This Saturday's chat reaffirmed the importance of recognizing and celebrating contemporary Amazonian voices. Wanda Monteiro and Tânia Sarmento, with their firm and poetic speeches, set the tone for an event that is not content merely with selling books but aims to provoke transformative encounters.
