IOE launches children's trilogy on the environment at the Pan-Amazon Book Fair
Work by Heliana Barriga, published by Editora Dalcídio Jurandir, highlights environmental themes and the appreciation of the Amazon
The Official Press of the State (IOE) launched the environmental trilogy My Book Fell, by Pará writer Heliana Barriga, during the 28th Pan-Amazon Book Fair and Multivoices, held in Belém. Published by the Editora Dalcídio Jurandir label, part of IOE, the initiative reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará to the appreciation of regional literature and environmental education.

At 75 years old and with over 60 publications throughout five decades of career, Heliana Barriga uses the trilogy to address, in a playful and educational way, themes such as deforestation, flooding, and nature preservation. The stories are narrated from the perspective of animals from the Amazon fauna, awakening ecological awareness among young readers. The illustrations are by Edilberto Silva, an employee of IOE.
Environmental education from childhood
During the launch, the president of IOE, Jorge Panzera, highlighted the importance of the work at a strategic moment for the state.

“The environmental theme is very important, especially this year as Pará prepares to host COP 30. Our joy is immense for this partnership with Heliana Barriga and also for this being a book aimed at children, helping to awaken environmental awareness and a love for reading from an early age,” he stated.
Appreciation of culture and Pará authors
The IOE booth also attracted the public interested in local cultural production. Professor and researcher Loana Oliveira praised the publisher's proposal.

“The Official Press booth stands out for its appreciation of Pará authors and regional themes. I found here works that directly dialogue with my studies on the Amazonian body and popular culture,” she highlighted.
