Cultural Foundation of Pará registers for workshops in Santarém until Friday (22)
A total of 285 spots are available in the areas of culture, education, and professional training
Between August 25 and 29, Santarém will host a series of free activities promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), through the FCP Por Todo Pará program. To participate, it is necessary to fill out the electronic form, access here, by next Saturday (23).
There are 285 spots offered across 10 courses in the areas of professional training, management, literature, audiovisual production, performing arts, creative economy, and sociocultural sustainability.
Throughout the week, classes will take place in different public spaces with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. "The goal is to facilitate access for as many people as possible," says the president of the Cultural Foundation of Pará, Thiago Miranda.
Among the courses offered in the evening is the first module of the workshop "Acting for Language in Audiovisual," which will be taught by actor, screenwriter, director, and producer Dario Jaime de Sousa, and by master in arts, lighting designer, and actor Markson de Moraes. Classes will be held from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Casa da Cultura. Artists and professionals in the performing arts with or without experience in audiovisual language can participate.
Also at the Casa da Cultura, with a class from 5 PM to 10 PM, the FCP promotes the workshop "Screenplay for Documentary" which will be taught by artist and researcher Felipe Pamplona, a master in documentary cinema from Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires-Argentina. Students and professionals in visual arts can participate. It is desirable that participants have an idea or ongoing project.
The production of audiovisual content using mobile media as support will be the theme of the workshop "Digital Content Production on Mobile Devices." The goal is to offer various opportunities for producers, content creators, companies, and brand owners, providing the basic tools for content creation and editing. Classes will take place at Theatro Victória from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Sustainability - The workshop "Art and Sustainability with Plastic Reuse" will address the fusion between sustainability and fashion through the reuse of plastic to create fabrics and accessories, such as shoes, bags, and hair ornaments. This approach, known as upcycling, reduces dependence on fossil resources, decreases CO₂ emissions, and minimizes waste in landfills, promoting the circular economy and encouraging creativity in the fashion industry.
Sustainability and economy will also be the focus of the course "Creative Economy and Sustainability," which aims to establish a relationship between the cultural production of the region and the cultural economy or creative economy policy from the perspective of enabling cultural makers and artists to identify opportunities for income generation and work in the cultural sector.
At the João Fona Cultural Center, there will be a workshop "Making Handmade Books as Creative Writing" which aims to present a new perspective on this object through the creation and experimentation with the materiality and some structural possibilities of this book, proposing a dialogue between written creation and the construction of book-objects.
Inclusion - At the Prof. Emir Hermes Bemerguy Arts School, there will be an Inclusive Dance workshop for different audiences. From 2 PM to 5 PM, for people aged 12 and up with or without dance experience. And from 6 PM to 9 PM, the course will target educators.
The classes will be taught by teacher Jeniffer Soares, an instructor and choreographer of Jazz dance, inclusive dance, modern dance, and paradance (wheelchair dance). She emphasizes that "the activity seeks to promote access to the art of movement for people with and without disabilities, respecting the singularities of each body and expanding the horizons of artistic expression in the Amazon region."
Meeting with Managers - The FCP Por Todo Pará program also includes the "Meeting with Public Managers and Parliamentarians (EGPP)." The event is in its fourth edition, strengthening the actions of the Cultural Foundation of the State of Pará in the area of books, reading, and libraries, through dialogue with municipal managers to strengthen and reopen public libraries. The meeting will take place on the 26th at the auditorium of the Casa da Cultura. The EGPP is held in partnership with the Ministry of Culture.
Targeted at managers, technicians, and advisors, there will be a "Workshop: Guidelines for Celebrating Agreements with State Resources" and the workshop "Library Management." The first aims to guide managers and cultural agents on the legal and operational procedures for formalizing agreements with state resources within the scope of the Cultural Foundation of Pará. The second aims to train participants for the planning, organization, management, and evaluation of services and routines in a public and community library, aiming to optimize its resources and services.
