Hemopa holds blood donation campaign at Alepa
Mobile unit and collection structure were set up to facilitate donor access

The Pará Hemotherapy and Hematology Center Foundation (Hemopa) promoted a blood donation campaign on Wednesday (20), in partnership with the Legislative Assembly of the State of Pará (Alepa), in the Cidade Velha neighborhood of Belém.
To assist volunteers, a mobile collection unit and a structured room were made available inside the Alepa building. The initiative aims to increase the number of donations and reinforce blood stocks, ensuring safe and continuous support for the transfusion demands of the State's hospital network.

According to Camila Medina, social worker at Hemopa's Donor Recruitment Management, the partnership is essential to strengthen the mission of saving lives. “Alepa has been a great partner over the years. Today we are conducting blood collections, donor registrations, and also registrations for Redome, the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry,” she highlighted.
Hemopa and Alepa nurse, Marluci Ramos, emphasized the importance of the initiative to encourage solidarity among employees. “This is already the third campaign held in partnership with Hemopa, and our goal is to instill in the Assembly staff the habit of blood donation, which means saving lives. Our target is to achieve at least 80 donations, and we are already seeing great participation,” she stated.

Among the volunteers, parliamentary advisor Sheila Guilherme highlighted her personal motivation to participate in the campaign. “I am a universal donor and believe that this gift can help many lives. I feel an enormous gratitude for having health and being able to donate,” she declared.
The action is part of Hemopa's partnership agenda with public and private institutions, which have contributed to stimulating solidarity and social responsibility among employees and the population.
