Semas announces auction of forest products and goods seized in inspection actions
The auction will be in-person in Belém and will offer 42 diverse items, such as outboard motors and lots of sawn ipe wood (decking and boards)

The State Secretariat for the Environment, Climate and Sustainability (Semas) will hold an auction on September 5 and 6, starting at 9 am, for the sale of forest products and goods seized in environmental inspection actions. The auction will be held in person at the Semas warehouse, located at Avenida Doutor Freitas, No. 278, Sacramenta neighborhood, in Belém.
The auction will offer 42 items of outboard motors, with starting prices ranging from R$ 325.00 to R$ 6,083.00, and 46 lots of sawn ipe wood (decking and boards), totaling approximately 194.880 m³. 'Decking' refers both to the material used to construct a raised wooden floor (deck) and to the structure of a deck itself.
The products come from seizures in operations to combat environmental offenses and from voluntary donations made to the Public Administration. The estimate is to raise up to R$ 231.3 thousand from the sale of the goods, which will be sold by the highest bid per item and lot. The final amount raised will be used to acquire new equipment to support actions against environmental crimes.
“The auction serves a dual purpose: it ensures the correct allocation of goods seized in inspection actions and, at the same time, transforms these resources into investments that strengthen Semas' structure. This way, we can expand the agency's capacity to act against environmental crimes more efficiently,” highlighted Lília Reis, the Deputy Secretary of Administrative Management and Technologies at Semas.
Payment must be made in full, via State Collection Document (DAE), within two business days after the auction. The auction is open to participation from individuals registered in the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) and the National Corporate Taxpayer Registry (CNPJ) of the Ministry of Finance, who hold an environmental license issued by the competent authority and are registered in the Forest Products Explorers and Consumers Registry (Ceprof).
Minors, members of the Bidding Commission, and public servants cannot participate. Interested parties may inspect the products on September 3 and 4, from 9 am to 2 pm, by prior appointment via email: [email protected]
The complete notice, with all information about the lots and participation rules, is available on the official Semas website.
