Our goal is to ensure that health services are prepared to respond efficiently to the needs of the population,” highlighted State Secretary of Health, Ivete Vaz.
The investments also expand the capacity to perform high-complexity procedures and strengthen imaging diagnosis, in addition to offering better care conditions for newborns and critically ill patients.
For the Mayor of Belém, Igor Normando, the partnership between the State and the Municipality ensures that resources effectively reach the basic health units, improving the assistance provided directly to the population. “This partnership will ensure that all basic health units can strengthen their systems to avoid overcrowding and especially the queues in hospitals. This is an important investment in primary care that the City Hall of Belém and the State Government are making together to improve the health of our city,” he stated.
He also emphasized the importance of the joint action of state and municipal administrations. “The partnership between the City Hall and the State Government has been enduring. We have a great partner in the State Government, and we understand that nothing is done alone. And today we are building with four hands, ensuring that the population can have the best of us,” concluded Igor Normando.
According to Secretary Ivete Vaz, the commitment of the state administration is permanent: “We are working in an integrated manner with the municipalities to equip health units and ensure that every investment made in infrastructure translates into quality of life for SUS users. This is another example of the successful partnership between the State Government and the City Hall of Belém for the benefit of the population.”
