Environmental education, technology, and culture mark Seduc's participation in the Book Fair
Literary launches, artistic exhibitions, pedagogical projects, and debates on the environment attracted a large audience to the booth of the Secretary of Education
With a program that brought together technology, environmental education, and regional culture, students, teachers, and other staff from the State Secretary of Education (Seduc) contributed to the success of the 28th edition of the Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices, held at Hangar - Center for Conventions and Fairs of the Amazon, in Belém, from August 16 to 22. Among the projects displayed, workshops, and artistic presentations, about 100 activities were carried out by Seduc.

Recognized as the largest literary fair in Northern Brazil, this year the Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices honored Master Damasceno and writer Wanda Monteiro, reinforcing the event's commitment to cultural diversity. In this context, Seduc presented productions that value student protagonism and the talent of public school educators, with activities that involved literary launches, artistic exhibitions, innovative pedagogical projects, and debates aligned with the Amazonian reality and preparation for the global conference on climate change (COP30), which will take place from November 10 to 21 in the capital of Pará.

Visitation - "Only the Siebe (State System of School Libraries) brought 51 projects and exhibitions to Seduc's booth, besides the Environmental Education Coordination, Ciseb (Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education), and the Media Center. In addition, we had 28 presentations in the Arena of Multivoices. We estimate that approximately 500 people passed by our booth daily. In total, about 5,000 people must have visited here during the entire Fair, because Seduc's booth was very visited this year, and received a lot of praise," evaluated the coordinator of Siebe, Socorro Carvalho.

Throughout the participation, Seduc reinforced the importance of education as a tool for social transformation and gave visibility to innovative pedagogical practices and the creativity of public school students. An experience that directly impacted students, like Samara Nayane, from the 3rd year of High School at the State School Antônio Teixeira Gueiros, in Ananindeua (Metropolitan Region of Belém). "I found it very interesting. It was a new experience, I learned a lot. I liked participating like this, and being a protagonist. It was really cool," said Samara.
For the 5th-grade student from the State School Barão do Rio Branco, in Belém, Tarcila Bertonssin, following the work of other schools was very interesting. "It was really cool to participate in the Fair. I presented about the Pará slang in English, going through various places in Belém. I saw the other works and found them super interesting, especially the one about robotics," declared Tarcila.
