In Marabá, the Government of Pará strengthens early childhood education with the delivery of the 11th daycare center and the CredCidadão benefit
Through the 'Daycares Throughout Pará' program, the State ensures quality education in early childhood

Continuing the commitment to strengthen and expand access to early childhood education, the Government of Pará, through the State Department of Education (Seduc), delivered, this Friday (22), the 11th daycare center of the "Daycares Throughout Pará" program for the municipality of Marabá, providing more support for families in the southeastern region of the State.
The Professor Edivan Alves Pereira unit has the capacity to serve up to 200 children aged 0 to 5 years in a welcoming, modern, and equipped space, providing quality education and safety for families.

The new unit received an investment of R$ 4.2 million and was designed to provide well-being, comfort, and safety for children, ensuring modern and suitable spaces for the learning process. The daycare has nine classrooms, a nursery, a lactation room, a breastfeeding room, a playground, a multipurpose room, a garden, a common area, five bathrooms, and a large outdoor area.
“Early childhood education is the foundation for the future of our children. Every real invested in this stage means more opportunities for development, inclusion, and equality. We are delivering a space that represents care, welcome, and quality education, so that parents can have peace of mind and children can grow in a healthy and safe environment,” emphasized Governor Helder Barbalho.
In addition to the complete structure, the unit delivered by the State Government is the first daycare with a nursery in the municipality, consolidating the commitment to expand access to quality early childhood education for the local population.
The Vice Governor of Pará, Hanna Ghassan, highlighted the importance of the new daycare delivery for Marabá and emphasized the State Government's commitment to early childhood.
“When the government decided to invest in early childhood, it thought about the present and also about the future of our families. We are building, in every corner of Pará, fully equipped and safe daycares, so that mothers can achieve the long-desired financial autonomy and children have access to quality education from an early age. Each unit delivered represents a collective effort and a tool for transformation in people's lives,” stated the Vice Governor.

Impact on families - The new daycare also represents social inclusion and support for families, as recounted by Mrs. Luzinete da Silva. She is the mother of little Matias, 2 years old, will be the receptionist of the unit itself, and highlights the transformation that the daycare represents in her personal and professional life.

“This daycare brings me great joy because I am one of the first to work at Professor Edivan Alves, and now we have a space that will also serve babies, like my son, who is already two years old. While I am working, I feel at ease because I know he is well cared for, being looked after and learning. This gives me the security to perform my job and still follow his development. It is a wonderful achievement for all of us,” she stated.
The State Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, reinforced that the investments made by the Government of Pará strengthen the integral development of children.
“Investing in early childhood education is ensuring that every child has access to a quality school life start, with comfort, safety, and prepared professionals. It is in this phase that the foundations for all future learning are built, and it is this commitment that the Government has reaffirmed with the delivery of each new daycare,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Noemi Regina Ramos Ribeiro, mother of little Yume Valentina, 5 years old, and baby Luna Mariá, 5 months old, emphasizes how the unit will be fundamental for her family.

“At this moment, this daycare is fundamental. I have two small daughters, and it is challenging to teach and care for them alone. With the daycare close to home, I know that Yume will receive better education, and I feel safe leaving her here. The space is beautiful, welcoming, and prepared to receive our children. This represents enormous support for all mothers,” she highlighted emotionally.
Daycares Throughout Pará Program - It is pioneering in the State and aims to serve about 30,000 families in situations of social vulnerability, especially women who need support to remain in the labor market.

With an investment of over R$ 400 million, the program plans to build 150 daycares in all regions of Pará. So far, units have already been delivered in Belém, Oriximiná, Ananindeua, Benevides, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Bannach, Almeirim, Melgaço, Curuçá, and now Marabá.
