Capacita COP30 launches 12th qualification cycle with over 680 vacancies in September
Program reinforces the legacy of professional qualification for the climate conference in Belém and offers in-person courses in six municipalities in Pará

The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Science, Technology, Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet), launches the 12th phase of the "Capacita COP30" program, with classes scheduled to start on September 1st. More than 680 vacancies are offered across 17 in-person courses in the areas of tourism, hospitality, communication, and languages. Registrations are open on the official program platform: www.capacitacop30.pa.gov.br.
Among the offered courses, 80 vacancies for the Spanish course stand out, aimed at meeting the growing demand for bilingual professionals and in preparation for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in November. According to the program coordinator, Andrey Rabelo, the expansion of language offerings reinforces the commitment to the productive inclusion of the people of Pará.
“With each new offering, Capacita COP30 asserts itself as a strategic tool to empower the people of Pará in light of the opportunities that the conference in Belém will generate. The significant volume of certifications is not just a number: it is proof that we are building a solid legacy of knowledge, inclusion, and income generation that goes far beyond the event.”

Classes will be held in person at the hubs of Belém, Icoaraci, Soure, Salvaterra, Santarém, and Salinas. In addition to the Spanish offering, the courses in this phase include:
* Advanced English for tourism business;
* Hospitality and accommodation services;
* Basic English for tourism business;
* Public speaking;
* Techniques of excellence in the art of public speaking;
* Marketing and communication for event coverage and promotion;
* Excellence in service in receptionist roles; and
* Amazonian cuisine.
With this new phase, Capacita COP30 surpasses the mark of 26,000 certification opportunities offered since its launch, consolidating the leadership of the Government of Pará in promoting professional qualification aimed at the realization of COP30 and strengthening the local economy.
