Forensic Police examines over 300 kg of drugs seized in Ananindeua
The examination found 318.87 kg of marijuana, divided into 290 bricks, and 23.13 kg of cocaine, divided into 19 bricks

The team from the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory of the Forensic Police of Pará (PCEPA) examined, on Monday (25), drugs seized at a cooperative of recyclable material collectors in the Industrial District neighborhood of Ananindeua. The seizure is the result of an operation by the State Department of Drug Investigations (Denarc) of the Civil Police of Pará (PCPA), along with the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB).
The PCEPA examination found 318.87 kg of marijuana, divided into 290 bricks, and 23.13 kg of cocaine, divided into 19 bricks. At the time, the experts conducted a preliminary report. The final report will be produced within 10 business days.

The report will support the identification and disposal of all seized products, which will later be taken for incineration by the Civil Police. "The drugs were described, weighed, and counter-evidence was sent to the forensic laboratory of PCEPA, where they will undergo other confirmatory tests," said Eric Nascimento, coordinator of the forensic laboratory of PCEPA.
“The integration between the Civil Police and the Forensic Police is essential for strengthening criminal investigations. Joint action ensures greater efficiency and legal security, especially in cases of large drug seizures, where technical expertise contributes to the precise identification of the substance, quantification, and proper recording of the seized material. This partnership strengthens the inquiry, ensures the chain of custody, and increases effectiveness in combating drug trafficking,” said Isabela Barretto, director of the Criminalistics Institute of PCEPA.
