Federal and state governments inspect bilingual tourist signage for COP30
To facilitate movement during the environmental conference, 721 signs are being installed in Belém and other municipalities in the Metropolitan Region

The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur), in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, conducted an inspection of the installation of the new bilingual tourist signage in Belém on Friday (29). The modernization of the signs will facilitate the movement of heads of state, tourists, and participants of COP30 (the global conference on climate change) next November.
The first bilingual signs were installed on Avenida Júlio César, near Parque da Cidade, where the Green and Blue zones will operate, which are part of one of the circuits that will be made during the conference. There will be 721 signs in 28 strategic circuits in Belém and other municipalities in the Metropolitan Region.

"The signage will make Belém more welcoming, attractive, and more competitive in the national and international tourism scene. This initiative makes life easier for the tourists who visit us, allowing them to explore more of our beauties, move around the city, and have authentic and better experiences," informed the State Secretary of Tourism, Eduardo Costa.
For the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, the new signs consolidate Belém as a reference tourist destination. "This work adds to the significant investments that are already being made. It is a lasting legacy for Belém, for the Amazon, and for tourism in Brazil," he emphasized.
The inspection was also attended by the executive secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Ana Carla Lopes.
