The second edition of the Tapajós Negócios Fair has established itself as the largest business and development event in Western Pará. Held on August 29, 30, and 31 at the Sebastião Tapajós Convention Center, the fair received over 32,000 visitors and generated R$ 45 million in business, exceeding the financial volume of the previous edition by more than 36% and recording a 43% growth in attendance.

Organized by the Federation of Commercial and Business Associations of Pará (Faciapa), in partnership with the Commercial and Business Association of Santarém (Aces), the fair had the support and presence of the Government of Pará, through the Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme) and the Regional Government Secretary of Baixo Amazonas (SRGBA).

According to the organization, the final balance, which will include the business prospects during the event, is still being consolidated and is expected to further increase the numbers of this edition.

Growth and strengthening of the regional economy

For the Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy, Paulo Bengtson, who participated in the opening of the event, the significant result reinforces the importance of decentralizing policies to encourage entrepreneurship and the productive sector.

Secretary Paulo Bengtson: showcase of the entrepreneurial strength of the Western Pará region

“The Tapajós Negócios Fair is a showcase of the entrepreneurial strength of the Western Pará region. The leap in business volume demonstrates that the market believes in the potential of the territory and finds in this event a strategic space to generate opportunities. The State Government remains firm in its purpose to support initiatives that stimulate regional development and consolidate local productive arrangements,” he emphasized.

Secretary Nélio Aguiar highlighted the partnership with the State Government: success

The head of the Regional Government Secretary of Baixo Amazonas, Nélio Aguiar, who also participated as a speaker, emphasized the role of the Government as an active partner in the growth of the economy in the interior.

“More than just supporting, the State Government has been a protagonist in creating conditions for events like this to happen. The Tapajós Negócios is now a reference not only for Santarém but for the entire region, as it connects municipalities, entrepreneurs, and investors in a dynamic and promising business environment,” he stated.

Diverse programming and cultural appreciation

In addition to the intense economic activity, the fair was marked by a robust program that combined business rounds, workshops, and training aimed at professional growth. Regional cuisine had a guaranteed space in the “Show Kitchen,” led by renowned chefs who highlighted Amazonian ingredients.

Handicrafts, tourism, and culture were also prominent. The cultural stage featured attractions such as Banda Amazon Beach, the carimbó of the group O Próximo Rolê and Master Jorge Oliveira with the group Olha Já from Alter do Chão, in addition to the closing show with the band Warilou.

Regional reach - The Tapajós Negócios Fair attracted entrepreneurs and visitors from various municipalities, including Alenquer, Almeirim, Aveiro, Belterra, Curuá, Itaituba, Jacareacanga, Juruti, Mojuí dos Campos, Monte Alegre, Novo Progresso, Óbidos, Oriximiná, Prainha, Terra Santa, and Trairão, strengthening the economic integration of Western Pará.

The event had a record audience of over 32,000 visitors

According to the general coordinator of the fair, Alberto Oliveira, the results prove that the event fully achieved its objectives.

“The Tapajós Negócios was born with the mission of showcasing the strength of our region, and in 2025, we proved that this potential is even greater. Surpassing last year's numbers so comfortably fills us with pride and reinforces our commitment to continue opening markets and consolidating Western Pará as a reference,” he stated.

With decisive support from the Government of Pará, the Tapajós Negócios Fair shows that the decentralization of development is a concrete path to generate jobs, income, and opportunities in the State.
