Castanhal Industrial Condominium enters licensing phase and already has 82 interested companies
The 143-hectare project will be the first of its kind in the Northern region and offers 113 lots at subsidized prices, with a letter of intent available on Codec's website
The Government of Pará, through the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec), is advancing in the implementation of the Castanhal Industrial Condominium, a milestone for the productive sector in northeastern Pará. The project is already in the environmental licensing phase and has 82 companies interested in joining, through letters of intent available on Codec's website (www.codec.pa.gov.br).
Located 4.5 km from BR-316, at km 4 of PA-136 (Castanhal-Inhangapi), the condominium occupies 143 hectares and will have, in its first phase, 113 industrial lots at subsidized prices. The planned infrastructure includes paved roads, bike paths, entrance gates, drainage systems, landscaping, and high and low voltage electrical networks. This set of conditions places Pará in a prominent position for attracting new investments.

On this Thursday (4), Codec managers received the Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Services of Castanhal, Eduardo Espinheiro Jr., accompanied by the president of the Castanhal Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIC), Renato Roldem, in a meeting focused on presenting the project and aligning joint strategies for its implementation. The agenda included the Director of Investment Attraction and Business, Manoel Ibiapina; the Technical Director, Ruy Klautau; the Manager of Institutional Relations, Augusto César Anunciação; and the Strategy and Institutional Relations Advisor of the Company, Evandro Diniz, who presented the progress of the project.
The meeting addressed important guidelines, such as the commercialization of lots in the incentivized area, the creation of the Small Industry Park, a space aimed at small support enterprises for the condominium, and state and municipal tax incentives. The realization of an Investment Attraction Workshop with municipal secretariat staff and the update of the Castanhal Investor Guide, launched four years ago and to be modernized to reflect the new scenario of opportunities, was also discussed.
For the Director of Investment Attraction and Business of Codec, Manoel Ibiapina, the project already demonstrates the confidence of the productive sector.
“The Castanhal Industrial Condominium represents a concrete opportunity for attracting new businesses to Pará. The recorded demand proves that entrepreneurs recognize the potential of the project, which was designed to offer differentiated investment and competitiveness conditions,” he stated.
The Technical Director of Codec, Ruy Klautau, emphasized that the project was designed to ensure modernity and efficiency. “The technical work carried out by the Company ensures that the condominium will be implemented with the necessary conditions to meet the demands of companies from different segments. The planned structure will offer quality, sustainability, and a favorable environment for growth,” he highlighted.
The municipal Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Services of Castanhal, Eduardo Espinheiro Jr., emphasized the expected impact for the municipality. “The Industrial Condominium will have a very important impact on Castanhal, especially with the installation of new industries, which will strengthen the local economy and generate jobs. This initiative marks a strategic step for the development of Castanhal,” he said.

The environmental licensing is being conducted by the company Hidrosan Saneamento e Meio Ambiente, the winner of the bidding process. The executive project of the condominium, which includes all engineering works and environmental requirements, has already been completed and approved, demonstrating the commitment of the Government of Pará to ensure the implementation of the project.
The interest already expressed highlights the diversity of sectors choosing Castanhal as the destination for their investments. Among the highlights are the metallurgy and construction segments, industrial machining, e-commerce industry, and general product trade, as well as food industries, construction materials and artifacts, packaging, logistics, technology, visual communication, energy, fuels, and business services. This variety confirms the potential of the condominium to boost the regional economy and increase job and income generation.

With the executive project completed and the environmental licensing underway, Codec keeps the letter of intent form open on its website (www.codec.pa.gov.br), available to investors who wish to participate in this new cycle of development in Castanhal.
