Between October 30 and 31, 2025, Belém will host the first edition of the Amazonian Congress on Female Tumors, promoted by the Teaching and Research Directorate of the Ophir Loyola Hospital (DIEP), with institutional support from the government of Pará, through the State Department of Public Health of Pará (Sespa). The event will take place at the Radisson Belém Hotel and marks an unprecedented step in the North region by bringing together science, innovation, and Amazonian identity in the fight against female cancer.

With the theme "Science, care, and identity in the fight against female cancer in the Amazon," the congress aims to strengthen scientific debate and expand knowledge exchange on the main tumors impacting women's health. For the first time, the Amazon will host a scientific meeting of this magnitude, bringing together leading specialists, healthcare professionals, and academics.

Among the highlights of the program are topics such as: Access and screening in breast cancer in the North; artificial intelligence and telemamography; innovative therapies (ADCs, T-DXd, PARP, CDK4/6); oncoplastic surgeries and strategies for positive axilla; gynecological tumors (cervix, ovary, and endometrium); discussion of clinical cases with specialists; oncogenetics in practice (BRCA, PALB2, PTEN); clinical research and genetic diversity in the Amazon.

The program will include symposia, round tables, lectures, and clinical dynamics with prominent names in oncology, consolidating the event as a scientific and care milestone for the region.
