Sefa seizes machines and equipment worth R$ 3 million
Seizure occurred in Conceição do Araguaia, in southeastern Pará

State tax inspectors from the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, from the Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa), seized machines and equipment worth R$ 3,065,560.29. The coordination is located at km 15 of the PA-447 highway, and the seizure occurred on Wednesday (10).
“The driver of a rodotrem truck presented import tax documents for cargo that left São Paulo, destined for a taxpayer located in Curionópolis, (in southeastern Pará). The inspection then verified that the machines and equipment had the import ICMS value collected lower than due to the State of Pará,” explained the unit coordinator, Renato Couto.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up for a total amount of R$ 418,341.13, referring to the tax, plus a fine.
