Supply Company (Cosanpa) strengthens services in Alter do Chão for Sairé
Cosanpa performs preventive maintenance on the hydrosanitary system of public restrooms in the district, in Santarém, which is preparing to welcome tourists to the Village

On the eve of Sairé, an important event that celebrates the cultural identity and tradition of the local people, residents of the beach village of Alter do Chão are already starting to feel the festive atmosphere. In the main square, in front of Ilha do Amor, merchant Roseane Almeida arranges the snack stall she maintains on site and speaks enthusiastically about the expectations for the period.
“This is the time when Alter do Chão gets busier, and we need to be prepared. Knowing that we will have the support of Cosanpa brings more peace of mind because water supply and cleaning in the septic tanks are essential to properly welcome those who arrive here,” highlighted Roseane.

The work mentioned by the merchant is part of the actions of the Sanitation Company of Pará (Cosanpa) in partnership with the city hall of Santarém. According to the coordinator of the sewage system of the Company, Jamison Leal, actions are carried out every year as a reinforcement to the village's infrastructure.
During this week, teams are performing preventive maintenance on the hydrosanitary system of the public restrooms in the Village of Alter do Chão. This service is necessary due to the increase in tourist flow in the Village.

“This is work done every year in partnership with the city hall; Cosanpa takes care of cleaning the septic systems of the public restrooms in the squares and the Tourist Information Center (CAT),” says Jamison Leal.
In addition to sewage services, Cosanpa is also reinforcing the water supply system of the village. For this, a connection was made from the main reservoir to the reservoir that will supply Sairé.

“This measure will ensure adequate water supply throughout the program, serving food merchants and visitors,” highlighted the Manager of Cosanpa in the lower Amazon region, Juca Pimentel.
This year, the expectation in the village is to receive more than 100,000 visitors during the traditional Sairé festival. For those visiting Alter do Chão, the improvements make a difference. José Chalub, from Vitória, the capital of Espírito Santo, arrived in the village for the first time and approved what he saw.

“It’s a beautiful, peaceful, safe, and organized place, in addition to the natural beauties that enchant. I even participated in a carimbó circle; you can feel that Alter do Chão is truly preparing for Sairé, and I felt like participating,” concluded the tourist.
With the union of efforts, residents, tourists, and public authorities are preparing for another edition of Sairé, which promises to energize Alter do Chão and reaffirm the cultural tradition of the region.
