In order to enhance the technical and operational qualification of inspection agents, the State Department of Transit (Detran) has just trained two more agents in the Motorcycle Escort Training Course, held in Espírito Santo (ES). Promoted by the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the training formed 35 trained escorts to operate in escort operations for heads of state and authorities.

The training course is one of the most important in the country due to the quality and rigor of its content and methodology, and the servers trained by the PRF will also act as multipliers for the rest of the team in the coming months.

The motorcycle escort is specialized in escorting authorities and convoys, using motorcycles to control traffic, ensure the safety of movements, and conduct reconnaissance in medium and high complexity civil and military operations. The role requires high skill in motorcycle handling, hence the need for specific training.

The training had a workload of 192 hours distributed over five weeks, with a focus on practical classes. Among the subjects taught are Defensive Driving, Riding Techniques, Basic Mechanics, Traffic Legislation, Maneuverability Track, Motorcycle Policing Doctrine, Escort Theory, and Escort Simulations.

The PRF course included 38 police officers from the corporation and the two inspection agents from Detran-PA, Deninson Maia and Raul Braga. The operations coordinator of Detran, Ivan Feitosa, explains that the training expands the specialized operational capacity of the agency, strengthening the use of motorcycles in patrols, escorts, and operations. "From this course, we will be even more prepared to use motorcycles in escort activities for authorities and road patrols throughout the state," he emphasized.
