Sefa seizes four trucks and 15 tons of aluminum scrap
The irregular loads were seized at the Goods Control Coordinations in Cachoeira do Piriá and Dom Eliseu
State tax inspectors from the Secretary of State for Finance (Sefa), stationed at the Goods Control Coordination in Transit of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, seized on Friday (12) four trucks, valued at R$ 967,452.00, which were being transported with irregular tax documentation.
“The goods left Manaus (AM) destined for Recife (PE). After the start of the inspection and delivery of the tax documents, four invoices were presented that referred to supposed internal sales in the State of Amazonas, with a construction company as the recipient. The transit documentation for these vehicles was requested, and a loan agreement between the company's branches, located in Amazonas and Pernambuco, was delivered. However, the document lacked formal requirements and had inaccuracies regarding the place of signature of the contract,” reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.

He also stated that the interstate invoices and the Waterway and Transport Knowledge were not presented. During the physical verification, it was confirmed that they were new vehicles. The documentation was disregarded, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, amounting to R$ 208,969.63.
Aluminum scrap – At the Goods Control Coordination in Transit of Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, on Saturday (13), 15 tons of aluminum scrap, valued at R$ 135,150.00, were seized without tax documentation.
“The goods were leaving the State in the same vehicle that was transporting plastic scrap, which was properly documented, originating from Santana (AP) and destined for Santana de Parnaíba (SP). After the physical inspection of the vehicle, in addition to the declared goods, 15 tons of aluminum scrap without tax documentation were found. A Seizure and Deposit Term was drawn up, amounting to R$ 29,192.40, regarding the tax and the fine,” reported coordinator Rafael Brasil.
