Belém will host an unprecedented program of international, national, and local shows this week. To ensure order and safety for the population and the audience of the special "Amazônia Live: Today and Always", the government of Pará, through the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) and in partnership with state, municipal, and federal security agencies, has set up an operation with 600 agents, 190 vehicles, nine boats, one aircraft, and three rescue, firefighting, and lifesaving vehicles.
The actions include ostensive and preventive patrolling, mounted policing, control of river traffic, traffic management, and real-time incident response. According to the head of Segup, Ualame Machado, the integrated security planning was carried out in conjunction with the event organizers to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
"Our capital is hosting major events, which generates a greater movement of people, and to ensure that everything occurs in order and safety, we planned in advance so that we can act within our responsibilities and guarantee the safety of all through increased policing, traffic management on the roads, and patrolling on the rivers," he emphasized.

The program of "Amazônia Live: Today and Always" will have two moments: the first, this Wednesday (17), will be a closed event, held on a floating stage on the Guamá River, with isolation and patrolling coordinated by the Brazilian Navy. The second will be on Saturday (20), at the Olympic Stadium Journalist Edgar Proença, the "Mangueirão", with a free show for an estimated audience of 50,000 people, who have previously collected tickets made available by the event organization.
"We will support the Brazilian Navy in river actions with patrolling and area isolation for the closed event that will take place on the 17th, and on Saturday, we will manage the traffic flow to ensure fluidity for both those going to Mangueirão and those who need to transit in the surrounding area. In general, we will have specialized units reinforced to promptly address any demands that may arise, in addition to increased policing on the roads surrounding the stadium," added Secretary Ualame Machado.
Integrated Actions
The actions for the floating event this Wednesday (17) will be coordinated by the Brazilian Navy, responsible for area isolation, control of vessel traffic, and oversight in the vicinity. Segup will act in support, through the River Security Group (GFLu), the Independent River Police Company, and the River Police Station, ensuring patrolling in the river network, judicial police actions, rescue, and lifesaving.

On Saturday (20), the gates of Mangueirão will open at 4:30 PM for access to the public who collected tickets in advance, virtually. Tickets for vehicle access to the parking lot are already being sold and must also be purchased in advance. The security strategy includes increased policing and oversight on access roads, traffic flow management, maintenance of order in the stadium, incident response by the Fan and Major Events Police Station and the Women's Assistance Police Station, in addition to the activation of the Operational Command Center (CCO). Installed in the box sector of the stadium, on side B, the CCO, under the coordination of the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp), will monitor images from about 800 cameras installed in the stadium and surrounding areas and expedite communication between security forces.
The ostensive and preventive policing in the vicinity and on the access roads to Mangueirão will be carried out by the Military Police, with foot, mounted, and motorized patrols in four and two-wheeled vehicles. The Event Police Battalion will coordinate the troops responsible for maintaining public order, in coordination with specialized police stations. The Air Security Group (Graesp) will conduct monitoring flights, supporting ground and river teams.

Traffic Changes
Agents from Detran, the Military Police, and Segbel will guide and oversee traffic, which will undergo some changes for the event at the stadium. Mangueirão Avenue, starting from Centenário Avenue, will operate in one direction only until Augusto Montenegro Avenue, from 3 PM on Saturday (20). If necessary, the BRT lanes may be used to improve fluidity.
The "Amazônia Live" operation involves teams from Segup, through the Operational and Criminal Intelligence and Analysis secretariats, Graesp, GFLu, and Ciop; Military, Civil, and Scientific Police; Detran; Military Fire Brigade and Seap; Seel; Federal Police; Brazilian Navy; Municipal Guard; and Segbel, in an integrated action to ensure safety and tranquility for the public and the population of Belém.
