Family members, friends, and teachers gathered in the auditorium of the State University of Pará (Uepa) on Thursday (18) in Vigia de Nazaré to celebrate the graduation of 132 students from the local unit of the State Technical Education School of Pará, linked to the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Professional Education (Sectet).
Professor Lidiane Sarmento, director of the school unit, highlighted the significance of the graduation and the role of the school in the community. “It is a pride to see each student complete their education. Here at EETEPA Vigia, our goal goes beyond technical education; we want to form citizens prepared to face challenges, contribute to their families, and transform the community in which they live. Each achievement of our students is also a victory for the city and for all who believe in education as a path to the future,” she emphasizes.

Among the graduates, 52 graduated from the Community Health Agent course, 28 students completed the Occupational Safety course, 29 in Computer Science, and 23 in Health Surveillance.
For many students, the experience at EETEPA was transformative. “At first, everything was new, but I soon realized that the course brings lessons that go beyond the professional environment. I learned to see safety as an essential part of life, both inside and outside the home,” he said.

"This experience transformed me, and now I look forward to taking this knowledge to the job market,” emphasizes the Occupational Safety graduate, Renan Sthefany.
More than a decade of history
For over ten years, EETEPA in Vigia has been transforming the lives of young people and adults by offering technical courses that prepare students for the job market and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the region.

For Rafaela Ataíde, from the Health Surveillance course, this transformation is real and directly impacts her trajectory. “Being at EETEPA allowed me to acquire knowledge and skills that go far beyond the classroom. Today I feel prepared to face professional challenges and contribute effectively to the health and well-being of the community I live in. This training opened new paths, brought confidence, and showed that, with effort and commitment, we can transform our lives and also positively impact the people around us,” highlights the professional.

Professional education that transforms lives
The State Technical Education Schools of Pará have the mission of offering quality technical education, with practical training that prepares students to work in different professional areas.

According to Washington Berg, the director of Professional and Technological Education at Sectet, the preparation goes beyond academic learning. “Each unit seeks to offer a complete education, with adequate infrastructure and excellent pedagogical support. EETEPA in Vigia de Nazaré is an example of how professional education can open real pathways in the job market and generate concrete opportunities for the community,” he emphasizes.
The professionalization offered by EETEPAs has a positive impact on the lives of students and the local community. By qualifying the workforce, the courses strengthen the municipality's economy, increase employability, and encourage new enterprises. In addition, they promote social inclusion and provide opportunities for those seeking professional growth and financial autonomy.

Secretary Victor Dias, head of Sectet, emphasized the relevance of the EETEPAs network for the development of the state and the future of students. “Investing in EETEPAs is investing in the future of Pará. Each graduate who completes a technical course leaves prepared to transform their own life and also contribute to the development of their community. Our goal is to offer quality education, generate opportunities, and strengthen social and economic growth throughout the state,” he concludes.
