In Breves, agents from the Antônio Lemos Base seize over 11 kg of drugs
The drug was located during an inspection of a vessel that had departed from Manaus heading to Belém
Security actions developed through the Integrated Fluvial Base Antônio Lemos, located in the Marajó Archipelago, at the Breves strait, seized more than 11 kilograms of drugs on the afternoon of this Tuesday (23), which were hidden in a vessel coming from Manaus (AM). The police teams, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), via the Fluvial Grouping (GFlu), continuously monitor vessels crossing the Marajó region.

“The Antônio Lemos Base, in Marajó, was our first fluvial Base installed in the State, and today, once again, we achieved success in our inspections with another drug seizure, which was being transported illegally, using the river as one of the routes for this transport. Given our assertive security strategy, we managed to inhibit actions and carry out another seizure, adding to more than two tons that have already been seized at the Base, which has served the Marajó region over three years since its installation,” said the State Secretary for Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.

Occurrence - Agents from the Fluvial Public Security Group and a team from the Military Police boarded the vessel "Ana Karoline VII", which was navigating the Tajapuru River, in Breves.
The teams identified inside the vessel, with the help of a sniffer dog, two backpacks containing 10 bricks of marijuana, totaling 11.135 kg. The material was taken to the Civil Police team operating at the Base for the necessary procedures.
