The Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), in Belém, held another edition of the Chaplaincy Project on Thursday (25), promoted by the Humanization Working Group (GTH) of the institution. The event featured the participation of members of the Christian Congregation in Brazil, who brought messages of faith, music, and reflection to users, companions, and collaborators.

The project takes place monthly, with the presence of different religious denominations, respecting the diversity of beliefs and reinforcing its inter-religious character. The goal is to provide comprehensive support, encompassing body, mind, and spirit.

According to Luciana Maués, a representative of the GTH, the Chaplaincy enhances the care offered at CIIR. She emphasizes that the institution deals daily with stories of overcoming, challenges, and new beginnings, and that the work goes far beyond physical care: it involves welcoming, listening, and providing comprehensive support to each person served.

“In this context, the Chaplaincy plays a fundamental role, connecting body, mind, and spirit, promoting not only rehabilitation but also dignity, meaning, and welcome. It is a presence that humanizes, inspires, and transforms,” said Luciana.

Audience – Users and families also emphasized the importance of the initiative. For Edileia Luz, 58 years old, a rural worker from Castanhal and mother of a teenager served by CIIR, “it is very important to know that there are people preaching the word of God.” She adds that the moment brings comfort, makes one reflect on life, and eases people's burdens.

“Here, I see that my daughter receives complete care, with attention, respect, and spiritual support, which gives us security and confidence in her treatment. My feeling is one of gratitude, knowing that God is life and love. Without Him, we are nothing,” she emphasized.

For Lindolfo Filho, 58 years old, father of a six-year-old child served in the rehabilitation service, the experience brought renewal. “When the group started to sing and play, I was very moved. This gives us strength to continue because the life of those seeking treatment for their children is full of challenges. I leave here feeling revitalized, with more faith and hope,” he said.

Pastor Wilkinson Marchezini Lima, from the Christian Congregation in Brazil, emphasized that the purpose is to share transformation and lightness: “We had a change in Christ and wish to bring that same transformation to people. The gospel brings healing and relief, making difficulties feel lighter. That’s why we brought part of our orchestra to musicalize this moment and announce the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Chaplaincy – Created in 2019, the Chaplaincy Project integrates the guidelines of the National Humanization Policy (PNH) and reaffirms CIIR's commitment to providing care that goes beyond technique, encompassing spirituality, faith, and dignity.

On the last Tuesday (23), the same congregation was present at the Specialized Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (Cetea), a unit linked to CIIR, promoting a meeting of reflection and spiritual support for families, users, and collaborators.
