The Civil Police of the State of Pará is reinforcing security at the 43rd Pineapple Festival, which takes place until Sunday (28) in the municipality of Barcarena, with an estimated audience of 80,000 people. To ensure quick service and a greater sense of security for the public, a mobile police station is in operation every day of the event, within the premises of the festival.

The structure is part of the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC) Mobile, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), and has a complete team composed of a delegate, clerks, and investigators, prepared to register occurrences, guide the population, and act in situations that require immediate intervention.

“The delegate, clerks, and investigators are available on-site to, above all, reinforce the safety of the people who come here to have fun and to ensure the population receives quick service in registering a police report, as well as to provide guidance on violence against women, children, and adolescents. If necessary, there will also be undercover policing,” explained Delegate Mhoab Khayan, head of the Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins.

Integrated action and preventive service

In total, about 20 civil police officers operate daily at the mobile police station set up at the event. The work includes visible and judicial policing, focusing on prevention, crime repression, and carrying out legal procedures in case of occurrences.

“The Civil Police always works to ensure safety and public order, and when this happens in an integrated manner, the ones who benefit are the people, who can have more peace of mind in their daily lives, as well as during large events like this. Our police officers will conduct visible and judicial policing, acting preventively and repressively to curb criminal activities,” emphasized Delegate Hennison Jacob, head of the Interior Police Directorate (DPI).

In addition to the Civil Police force, a team from the Coordination of Operations and Special Resources (CORE) is also present during all days of programming, reinforcing security actions and contributing to the tranquility of the public participating in the traditional Barcarena festival.
