Public education is fundamental for the development of various communities, as demonstrated by the initiative held this Saturday (27) by the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Ananindeua, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. Linked to the State Department of Education (Seduc), DRE 5 promoted, at the Quilombo do Abacatal, the preparatory 'aulão' for students from schools under the Directorate's jurisdiction, quilombola students, and those who have completed regular high school.

The objective is to prepare candidates for the Selection Process of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and the University of the State of Pará (Uepa), aimed at candidates who have already completed high school and quilombola or indigenous students.

Eighteen candidates attended classes in Legislation/Sociology, Philosophy, Portuguese Language, and Essay Writing

Enhancement - The State Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, was present at the 'aulão' and discussed the importance of the action for strengthening public education, benefiting the entire school community.

“As Secretary of Education, I have sought to be close to the school community and understand the daily life of each region, each community, so that we can, together, enhance the quality of education in our State's public network. This preparatory 'aulão' represents the public authority's commitment to ensuring equal opportunities and valuing quilombola identity and culture,” emphasized the head of Seduc.

Secretary Ricardo Sefer participated in the activity at Quilombo do Abacatal

This is the second consecutive Saturday that the Regional Directorate has held activities at Quilombo do Abacatal. Today, 18 candidates participated, receiving classes in Legislation/Sociology, Philosophy, Portuguese Language, and Essay Writing.
