Sefa seizes eight motorcycles and 55 tons of soy
Irregularities in the documentation of the two loads generated Terms of Seizure and Deposit
In the municipality of Santarém, in the Lower Amazon Integration Region, western Pará, on Saturday (27), the team of state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), from the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Tapajós, seized eight brand new motorcycles, valued at R$ 243,880.00. An internal invoice from Amazonas was presented, stating that the goods had left Manaus, the capital of Amazonas, destined for Manaus.

“The seizure was made on a vessel. The taxpayer presented, as a document, the clearance of the exit restriction for all the motorcycles, in the name of an individual from Pará. However, upon cross-referencing the data in the system, it was found that the CPF was linked to a motorcycle resale company in the municipality of Altamira (PA), whose state registration was suspended, meaning it was prohibited from purchasing goods and issuing invoices. The operation was considered as a commercial intent for vehicles due to the quantity of the goods, and the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 83,406.96, charging tax and fine,” reported coordinator Roberto Mota.

Soy - During an inspection at the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, also on Saturday (27), 55 tons of soy were seized, originating from Imperatriz (MA) and destined for São Raimundo das Mangabeiras (MA).
“The bulk truck presented an invoice for soy. When the system was consulted, it was observed that the sender had a state registration in Pará, but did not have a special exporter regime, which is required by law,” reported coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The load, valued at R$ 132,335.00, was retained, and the Term of Seizure and Deposit was drawn up in the amount of R$ 28,484.36, charging tax and fine for the ICMS due on the exit of the product from the State.
