Seduc promotes mock exams and training for the reinforcement of the Basic Education Assessment System test
The preparation strategies include school reinforcement, pedagogical training, and the provision of teaching materials

The State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc) remains mobilized for the application of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) test, from October 20 to 31 throughout Brazil. The preparation involves a set of strategic actions involving education professionals and students across the State.
Among the initiatives, Seduc has carried out the "Saeb Caravan," with pedagogical activities for students and school managers aimed at improving learning and the importance of assessment. A total of 39 Regional Education Directorates (DREs) out of 40 have been visited. So far, more than 3,000 educational leaders have been reached, including directors, technical teams from the DREs, principals, pedagogical vice-principals, and school secretaries.
According to the State Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, the set of actions demonstrates the Government's commitment to ensuring opportunities for all students.
"Saeb is a strategic assessment to measure learning and guide public policies. We are working in coordination with municipalities and each school in the network to ensure that our students are prepared and can advance more and more. This is a collective effort that involves managers, teachers, students, and families, reflecting Pará's commitment to quality public education," emphasized the secretary.
Another area of work is the "Saeb 2025 Movement – Coordinators Across Pará," which started in August, with formative meetings, active listening, and technical guidance conducted by teams from the Educational Management Directorate (DIGE). The action has already conducted 297 visits to priority schools in the state network and will continue in a second round of visits until the evaluation period.
In addition, Seduc promoted the first Pará Mock Exam, involving students from the 2nd grade in a sample, 5th and 9th grades of Elementary Education, and the 3rd year of High School in all state schools. The action aimed to familiarize students with the exam model, identify areas needing reinforcement, and guide teachers in the teaching process.
The preparation strategies include school reinforcement, pedagogical training, and the provision of teaching materials, ensuring that students have access to targeted and equitable learning practices.

The Deputy Secretary of Basic Education, Júlio Meirelles, reinforced that the focus of the actions is the learning of students.
"It is important to emphasize that the focus of this entire process is the learning of our students, and the strategy we have adopted is through the recomposition of learning, whether due to the impact left by the pandemic, but also due to the entire historical series that Pará has presented and the challenges that are posed. From there, we managed to restructure the pedagogical policy with structured strategic material – a large part produced by the team itself – continuous training for managers, DREs, and teachers, in addition to reinforcement classes during the school day, in the opposite shift, and on Saturdays. Now we are in the final stretch for Saeb 2025, focusing on enhancing mobilization, engagement, and conducting the best Saeb in Pará's history, so that the State continues to grow more and more in learning compared to other state networks in the country."
Pará is experiencing a historic moment in state public education, with 4.3 points in the last Ideb, a leap from 26th to 6th place in the national ranking, consolidating the advances achieved with public policies, investments, and the appreciation of public education. This year, the goal is to further increase the quality indices of education, with actions already underway.
