New industrial plant in Ananindeua generates jobs and strengthens the productive sector in Pará
The unit installed in the Industrial District expands the productive base and reaffirms the State Government's commitment to economic development

The installation of a new industrial unit in the Ananindeua District promises to transform the industrial laundry, hygiene, and rental of linens and uniforms sector in Pará, generating jobs, attracting investments, and introducing cutting-edge technology. The venture, a result of the State Government's support through the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec), marks an important step in expanding the productive base of Pará.
The company responsible for the operation is Elis Brasil, a French multinational recognized for providing high-quality hygiene and protection solutions for hospitals, hotels, and industries. The unit inaugurated on the morning of this Tuesday, the 30th, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, is considered the most modern in the Northern Region, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
During the ceremony, Codec was represented by the Director of Investment Attraction, Manoel Ibiapina, who delivered an institutional plaque of recognition on behalf of the State Government. The tribute, a tradition of Codec, symbolizes the partnership with industries that establish themselves with public support and reinforces the state’s commitment to productive development.
The new plant begins its operations generating 50 direct jobs, with a forecast of reaching 200 job positions within 12 months. The investment strengthens the local industrial sector, expands the productive base, and contributes to the economic and social development of the municipality of Ananindeua and the entire Metropolitan Region of Belém.

The CEO of Elis Brasil, Otávio Carvalho, emphasized the relevance of the partnership for the installation of the industry in the State. “I want to thank the Government of Pará and Codec, in particular, for our installation here in the Ananindeua Industrial District. We are very happy with the opening of our plant, the most modern located in the Northern Region, with cutting-edge technology. This was only possible with the support of the Government and various entities that assisted us. We are here to provide quality service for hospitals, hotels, and industries in Pará. Thank you very much.”
The Director of Investment Attraction at Codec, Manoel Ibiapina, highlighted that the inauguration is a direct result of the state policy to support new businesses. “The installation of Elis Brasil in Ananindeua is a concrete example of Codec's role in attracting strategic investments to Pará. We are talking about a venture that starts with 50 jobs and, in just one year, will reach 200 job positions, strengthening our industry and generating opportunities for the population. This shows the private sector's confidence in the State and Pará's capacity to receive large-scale investments.”

The inauguration reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará to promote sustainable economic development. Codec plays a central role in this process by supporting the installation of new industries, structuring industrial districts, promoting job and income generation, and creating favorable conditions for the productive sector to find in Pará a safe and strategic environment to invest. This work consolidates the Company as a fundamental link between the public power, the private initiative, and society, ensuring concrete results for the State's economy.
