Sefa seizes 44 tons of scrap cables in Marabá
The taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS related to the goods subject to advance payment upon leaving the State of Pará
During an inspection carried out this Thursday, 02/09, state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized 44 tons of scrap conductor cables valued at R$ 218,708.00. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the southeast of the State.
“The seizure occurred at the Carajás railway tax post in Marabá. A vehicle transporting goods from the municipality of Marabá/PA, destined for Novo Hamburgo/RS, was stopped. After document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS related to the goods subject to advance payment upon leaving the State of Pará, as determined by current legislation,” explained coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 36,742.94, already considering ICMS and fines.
