The State Secretary of Science, Technology, and Higher, Professional, and Technological Education (Sectet) is present at the 4th Book Fair of Castanhal, which takes place until October 5 at Praça da Estrela, in the northeastern municipality of Pará.

Organized by the Castanhal Academy of Letters (ACL), this year's fair has the theme "Reading Building a More Sustainable and Human World" and brings together literature, culture, and educational experiences for the entire community.

With an interactive booth, Sectet presents practical and multidisciplinary experiences in the fields of gastronomy, technology, sewing, and fashion, integrating activities from the Usina da Paz Castanhal and the Technical Education School of Pará (EETEPA) - School of Arts São Lucas.

Sewing and Fashion: creativity and sustainability

At the beginning of the fair, Sectet held workshops, fashion shows, and interactive activities in the Sewing and Fashion axis. The "Pink October" collection, created by entrepreneurs from Usina da Paz, highlighted female entrepreneurship and the appreciation of women.

The activities included express customization, fashion shows with pieces produced by students, and raffles of sustainable gifts, reinforcing the secretary's commitment to training, income generation, and conscious fashion.

Science and Technology: robotics, 3D printing, and entrepreneurship

The location also features a space for Science, Technology, and Innovation (CT&I), which brings the public closer to robotics, modeling, and 3D printing projects developed by students from Usipaz Castanhal and EETEPA São Lucas. In addition to demonstrations, visitors can learn about the courses offered by the SECTET Technology Laboratory, which promote free technical training and encourage entrepreneurship.

Amazônia Gastronomy: flavors, stories, and innovation

On October 3 and 5, the Sectet booth transformed into a laboratory of Amazonian knowledge, with show classes, workshops, discussion circles, and children's activities. Highlights include workshops on traditional cookies, non-alcoholic Amazonian drinks, and discussion circles, featuring initiatives like Combu Juice and instructors from Usina da Paz, valuing regional identity and entrepreneurship.

Professional education as a tool for transformation

Sectet's participation in the fair highlights how professional and technological education is an ally of culture and sustainability. The booth offers concrete learning experiences, innovation, and inclusion, allowing the public to experience the transformative impact of public policies and for students to showcase their talent.
